Laconia improved their record to 2-0 after defeating a game MV squad. The Sachems will have their hands full though in week 3, as visiting Trinity comes to town. Trinity scratched out a victory in Hanover over the weekend improving to 2-0. One of these teams will record their first loss of the season one of the unbeatens will fall.
While Mike I.'s Marauders have yet to win their first game, their young team has been in both of their losses right up to the end. Week 3 should prove to be another tough contest as they visit cross town rival Lebanon in the annual Principals' Cup game. History would seem to be on the Marauders side as they have won the last 6 contests with the Raiders.
Lebanon, looks to get back in synch by next week after a shaky win over Monadnock. While their record stands at 2-0, it was their bend but don't break defense that staved off the visiting Monadnock Huskies. Their offense seemed to struggle but their defense continually answered the call and denied the Huskies, possession after possession. The Huskies have a very good team, led by all state RB Blake Bolewski.
Monadnock looks to get their first victory as they visit a Kingswood team that became the latest victim of the powerhouse that is...Plymouth.
Stark plays MV this weekend as one of these teams will record their first victory, and Plymouth looks to improve their winning streak as they visit Kennett. The Eagles recorded their first win in impressive fashion, crushing John Stark 41-0.
