Week 1 D IV Kingswood, Plymouth, Trinity all open strong, tough loss for Hanover as Laconia turns a late turnover into 6 and the win.

Week 1 opened with Kingswood defeating recent addition to D IV, John Stark (down from D III) 29-6. Kingswood looks to upset a tough Plymouth team next week. The Knights travel to Plymouth to play a Bobcats team that's riding a 56 game winning streak, after shocking Monadnock 35-7 in their Week 1 contest.

Trinity (up from dominating the D V division) wins their first D IV battle, by dismantling Merrimack Valley 48-0. Sam Carney and company look to be next on their hit list as they visit Hanover in Week 2. The Marauders faced a tough Laconia team in Week 1 in a tight battle that came down to a botched long snap that sailed long into the end zone. The ball was pounced on by Laconia sealing the victory for the Sachems.

The Sachems visit MV next.

The Lebanon Raiders traveled to North Conway to play the Kennett Eagles. In another nail biter, the Raiders squeaked by with some impressive defense, coming away with a 7-6 victory in their first opening day victory in recent history.

The Raiders look to improve to 2-0 as they host a strong Monadnock team for their Home opener in week 2, while the Eagles look to rebound when they visit John Stark.
